BODA and IDG Visited Sweden for In-depth Exchanges of World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo 2017

In order to well prepare and promote World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo 2017 (hereinafter referred to as "WWSE"), to attract more participation from relevant institutions and enterprises in the winter sports industry chain, as well as for WWSE's international influence expansion and further development, Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA for short) and IDG visited Swede on February 1 for in-depth exchanges with Swedish Olympic Committee and other parties on the subjects of inheriting Olympic legacy and facilitating international cooperation.

The 2022 Winter Olympic Games brings a historic opportunity for the development of China's winter sports industry. During this trip to Sweden, BODA and IDG focused on the visit to Swedish government, conducted a series of in-depth exchanges with Swedish Olympic Committee and reached signing intention with many Swedish associations. Meanwhile, BODA and IDG also gave an analysis of the winter sports market in China when promoting the WWSE, exchanged their experience in the multilateral forum. As one of the representative countries with rapid development in winter sports industry in Europe, Sweden has a large population participating in ice and snow sports, which has an very important reference function for China to learn to popularize its winter sports, promote winter sports industry, publicize and make good preparations for the 2017 Winter Olympic Games.


Besides, BODA and IDG also visited Swedish Curling Federation, Swedish Ski Association, Swedish Hockey League, Swedish Olympic Committee and SkiStar -- the largest listed company running ski resorts in Northern Europe. During the visit, the delegation watched the major events and communicated with many representatives and athletes.

Introduction to Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA)

The successful Beijing 2008 Olympic & Paralympic Games have left rich legacy for China and Beijing both in material and social forms, which is now possessed by Beijing as the host city for the Olympic Games. To continue this sound momentum and build on the successful experience of the Games, Beijing Municipal Government has turned the three Olympic slogans into “Humanistic Beijing, Hi-Tech Beijing and Green Beijing”, and decided to set up BODA, which is officially announced in August, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

BODA is a non-profit organizational legal person registered with Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau. It is built to develop the Olympic spirit, expand the Olympic achievements, promote the sustainable development of Olympic and Paralympic causes in the city, contribute to the construction of Humanistic Beijing, High-tech Beijing and Green Beijing and accelerate the development of Beijing as a modern developed city and an international sports culture center.

Introduction to International Data Group (IDG)
